Shelton Behavioral Health (SBH) offers comprehensive evaluation, often requested or mandated by licensing boards, employers, oversight committees and others, for individuals accused of unethical or other behavior in violation with the standards of practice. SBH can also provide “Court Evaluations,” commonly requested by the defensive attorney(s) in regards to one’s involvement with the legal and criminal system. The evaluation typically includes:

  • A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation

  • Psychological testing

  • Record Review

  • A formal written report provided to the requesting agency

  • Recommendations

Pre-Employment evaluations are provided to individuals whose employer requires applicants to undergo a psychological evaluation to assess their abilities to fulfill the jobs requirements. Evaluations consist of a comprehensive clinical interview and psychological testing, summarized in written report sent to the employer.

Employers that often require pre-employment evaluations include, but are not limited to Transportation Security Administration, fire departments, emergency medical services, emergency dispatch, law enforcement, and airlines.

Fitness-for-Duty evaluations are formal examinations of an employee whose behavior at work was deemed below adequate in some form or fashion. The employer or overseeing organization is seeking an evaluation of the employee to deem if the individual is able to safely and effectively perform his or her job functions, specifically related to the employee’s psychological wellbeing. Evaluations consist of a comprehensive clinical interview, psychological testing, records review and a formal written report.
